Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

The waitlist form collects your email address. When you submit it we also store the note that the signup came from the landing page, and a truncated copy of your browser's user-agent string, which we keep to tell real signups from automated ones.

When you submit the form, Netlify processes your IP address to limit how many requests the same address can make in a minute. We do not write it to our waitlist database; Netlify may retain it in its operational logs.

We run no advertising tags on this site. Nothing here builds a profile of you or follows you to another site. The one thing we collect that is not needed to serve you the page is analytics, and it is off until you switch it on — the next section is entirely about it.

2. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and to see which pages get read. It is off by default. Until you press Accept on the bar at the foot of the page, no script is requested from Google, no analytics cookie exists on your machine, and nothing about your visit leaves this site.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets two cookies in your browser: one named _ga, and one named _ga_ followed by the identifier of our measurement stream. Both expire two years after they are last set. They hold a randomly generated number that lets us tell a returning browser from a new one. Neither carries your name, your email address, or anything you have typed into this site.

Loading that script means asking Google's own servers for a file, so Google receives your IP address and your browser's user-agent as part of that request — the way any server does when your browser asks it for something.

Advertising storage, ad personalisation and ad user data are all refused on your behalf, and pressing Accept does not change any of them. Accepting turns on analytics storage and nothing else.

You can change your answer whenever you like, from the Cookie settings control in the footer of every page. If you decline after having accepted, we tell Google Analytics to stop using storage, we delete both cookies from your browser, and the script is not loaded again on any later page.

3. Why we use it

To tell you when seats open, to answer you if you write to us, and to keep the form from being abused. Analytics tells us which pages are worth writing more of. We do not sell your address, rent it, or share it for anyone else's marketing.

5. Who processes it

The waitlist is stored with Supabase, which hosts our database. The site itself is served by Netlify, which processes requests in order to deliver pages and which keeps its own operational logs. If you have accepted analytics, Google receives your visits as described in section 2.

Supabase and Netlify act as processors on our behalf. We do not pass your address to anyone else.

6. How long we keep it

We keep waitlist entries until the waitlist has served its purpose or you ask us to remove yours. Pending legal review: a defined retention period for waitlist entries

7. Your rights

Every email we send you will have a way to unsubscribe in it, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.

8. Security

The public database credential cannot read waitlist entries. Signups submitted through this site pass through a rate-limited server function, and traffic is served over HTTPS.

No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell affected people if something happens that we are required to report.

9. Children
